On Creativity

I have been thinking about creativity a lot lately. What it is, where it came from and how it works.
First I started doing a dopamine detox and noticed that my thoughts, and motivation to do creative things skyrocketed. I also started to come up with more creative ideas, which is new for me as I have never considered myself a creative person.
I started to do research into this and learned a lot about creativity as a whole. I no longer believe that there are creative people and non creative people, I now think that creativity comes from outside us and some have better reception to the creative ethos of the universe and strive to make their ability to bring those ideas to the world better and better through study and practice.
I think that creativity comes in those moments when you are doing nothing, not scrolling, not playing games, not talking to people, nothing. When you are driving, in the shower, walking with no music playing, etc. Any area that your brain is not actively being used by you consciously or you are lost in thought and worlds within your mind. Science also backs this up, every study I could find finds this same thing to be true. Whats more is that social media scrolling, and other high, quick dopamine activities lowers sensitivity to this and in turn, lowers your willingness to do things like creative work, and your creativity as whole as your brain doesn't crave it since its not ever bored. Boredom is fuel for the deeper mind.
Long story short, be bored often, do boring things, and you will find yourself a less boring person.
